Aristotle S. Onassis initially based his shipping enterprise in New York. Then, in 1952, he established Olympic Maritime in Paris in order to manage his shipping assets from Europe. In 1953, Olympic transferred its offices in to Monte Carlo, where it remained until 1977. In 1990, Olympic Maritime was renamed Olympic Shipping and Management S.A. Since 1997, its head office has been in Paleo Phaleron, Athens, from where it acts as principal agent of the fleet. Currently the fleet comprises of 18 crude oil tankers and the technical management has been assigned to Springfield Shipping Co. Panama S.A.

SPRINGFIELD SHIPPING COMPANY PANAMA SA the Tanker Management arm of the&nbsp;Onassis Shipping Group seeks to employ a Marine Superintendent who will be supervising all functions relating to the marine management of the fleet and reporting to the Fleet Manager.Main responsibilities include:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Planning and coordinating Oil Major Companies vetting inspections and following up captured deficiencies. Marine Superintendent

SPRINGFIELD SHIPPING COMPANY PANAMA S.A. the Tanker Management arm of the Onassis Shipping Group is looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join the team. This key role provides technical expertise in all electrical and automation matters, ensuring the safe operation and proper maintenance of the managed vessels.&nbsp;Main responsibilities include:<ul><li>Provide expert technical support on electrical, automation and pneumatic systems to Technical Superintendents and Crew</li><li>Provide technical support for telecommunications/radio navigation systems</li><li>Ensure effective maintenance and repairs of electrical and automation systems in collaboration with the Fleet Managers and Technical Superintendents</li><li>Oversee and support troubleshooting and repairs during extraordinary situations</li><li>Attend vessels to evaluate the condition of systems relevant to the role, providing training to the Crew as necessary</li><li>Organize drydocking and servicing related to these systems and attend vessels in shipyard, ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications</li><li>Review and verify electrical spare parts requisitions for accuracy and reasonable quantities, advising the Purchasing team on orders</li><li>Monitor checklists and Planned Maintenance System (PMS) relevant to the role</li><li>Collect and analyze technical data to generate accurate reports and KPIs that support performance improvement of electrical systems</li><li>Stay up to date with technological advancements in electrical energy and automation systems onboard vessel</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements&nbsp;Eligible candidates should meet the following requirements:&nbsp;<ul><li>A university degree in Electrical and Automation Engineering, or a related field</li><li>At least 6 years of professional experience in a similar role</li><li>Strong hands-on experience within Tanker operations</li><li>Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)</li><li>Very good command of MS Office Applications</li><li>Flexibility to travel on board</li></ul>&nbsp;Additional qualifications that will be considered as an advantage:<ul><li>Knowledge of Danaos ERP system</li><li>Seagoing experience</li><li>Authorization/certification from various equipment makers</li></ul>&nbsp;Inter-personal competencies:<ul><li>Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Results oriented and self-motivated person</li><li>Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package</li><li>A dynamic and collaborative work environment</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development</li><li>Work for one of the biggest companies in the global ship management industry</li></ul>
